I have just blown my stash of BA Avios booking OTP-DOH-IKA-DOH-ATQ in J with QR in May-June. I know if I was patient, the QR flights might show up for availability with QF Frequent Flyer points but I didn't want to wait and take the chance. I am sorely tempted to go for the 200,000 annual package so I can have some of this useful currency for plugging gaps in itineraries and taking side trips. QR in particular has some interesting destinations and they seem to have become almost inaccessible to us through QF. So I am humming and hawing over doing it. That suggests to me they have got the price point (in pounds) pretty much spot on.
