Hi all,
just confirming that QFPS status (OWE Ruby) does not give extra luggage when flying BA in Europe? I have had a look at the BA website and it only makes mention of extra allowance for AA FFs.
My wife is flying LHR-OSL this week on BA and while the extra allowance (as PS) is useful from MEL-LHR it seems this will not be the case with her connecting flight.
cheers
Bert

There are no alliance wide benefits for Oneworld (one of my biggest gripes) so you are restricted to whatever the BA allowances are.

AA do allow complimentary checked luggage for Oneworld Elites, but it is as their option it's not a documented benefit.

In a similar vein, what about flying on a QF flight number FRA-xLHR-SIN? Where BA is the operating carrier FRA-LHR, and QF LHR-SIN,

Should be the the QF baggage limits, as they would be deemed the most significant carrier (ie Greater portion of your journey)

Flying CPH-xLHR-xHKG-xSYD-BNE last year, QF number all the way but BA metal CPH-LHR, I was only allowed the standard 23kg by the BA checkin at CPH as QF PS. I'm going to have the same problem this year with BER-xLHR-xSIN-BNE.

Pretty sure if you read the PS benefits rules, the extra baggage only applies to QF flight numbers on QF metal. And if you look at the IATA rules on most-significant-carrier, it only applies to the base baggage allowance for the fare class and not any FF-related bonuses.

Mr jojen & I have just checked in for a QF codeshare flight with BA to LHR and onwards to SIN.

One case was 25.2 kg and we were asked to remove items to make it 23kg !!!! We are both QFF PS and one QC so obviously QF rules do not apply in FRA.

Figured as such. At least it's summer!
Oh well. Have to shop lighter or throw stuff away

I always say I will travel lighter but never seems to happen !!!! although this year wish we had. Travelled by train a lot through France and Germany and found the cases difficult to lift on and off the trains because of the platforms and steps on the trains.

Next year I will put out what I think we need , but only take half .

We're doing quite a bit of train travel as well, conscious of keeping it light. Although by the last leg I think we will be on the heavy side!

I'm flying LHR - HKG - SYD with BA/QF, however its all booked on QF codes. What will my allowance be?

Edit: Its QF3528
