Hi all - Clarence here...

Need any help or advice you have on how best to use surplus BA e-vouchers. I received AUD1200 worth back in the covid flurry. (I only purchased the fares due to unavailable FF seats to suit times between LHR and ROM). I eventually received my email and voucher numbers and a simple explanation to book a new flight. I had originally sought to get a refund only to be told my flight was NOT cancelled back in June 2020. I have until Sept 2023 to use the e-vouchers or they expire. I have since booked a OWA RTW so pointless to pay for a sector. (I'm flying BA on SIN-LHR-ROM). The website and call centre are directing me to spend on any new BA marketed flight, is the only BA flight out of Australia SYD-SIN-LHR? I can't see myself flying the BA network before expiry. Can I use on BA codeshare (eg Qantas) domestically? My aim is to get $$$ or if that doesn't work Avios to spend on flights/accommodation. Otherwise maybe to use e-vouchers to spend on seat upgrades, baggage or other purchases. I think the website says if I use the e-vouchers then cancel, they will only refund me again with another e-voucher. Seeking your expertise...

Bumping this somewhat lonely thread!

A friend has 3x expiring BA vouchers (same deal as OP book and fly before end of Sep 2023), but they’re a mix of UK pounds and Euro.

Does anyone know if these can be used against a booking in another currency? eg SYD-SIN return?

For anyone playing at home, you can use one or more vouchers of the same currency to purchase any flight on BA.com. But you can’t mix voucher currency to make a booking.

I just helped my friend offload two. He‘ll use the last one to book some internal Euro flights…
