QF and BA have a relationship but it’s not a close one, but it does include some codeshares.

You should be able to book any combination of options via a travel agent.

What route?
BA fly from SYD and Qatar QR from BNE, SYD, MEL, ADL & PER. You may be better booking with them. QR own a part of IAG (BA, IB, EI & others)
Or book on other airlines.

What is crucial here is the origin and destination of the BA flight in general as some routes are not bookable online and can only be booked by phone. For instance I believe British Airways (South Africa) was one such example where you couldn’t book say Cape Town to Jo’burg. The opposite by the way is true. Certain QantasLink flights aren’t bookable with BA Avios online and must be booked over the phone such as the beloved SYD <> HBA route!

The good news is you won’t have to pay a phone booking fee for it. After all, how else could you make the booking?
