Hi folks,

Apologies if this question has already been answered but a thorough search of the BA and EK websites and this very fine forum have not yet provided the answer I am looking for.

I am heading to Europe next week for a two week work trip and my return leg is NCE-LHR-DXB-MEL. All flights are in J in a single booking and (i think) on a single ticket.

NCE-LHR is on BA arriving at T5 and then a transfer to T3 and onto EK for the LHR-DXB-MEL journey home (on QF flight numbers).

The connection time at LHR is 2hr 30min, but the Manage My Bookings in my QFF account is showing a warning that I have a tight connection, and when I called QF the CSO told me he couldn't trigger the connection as the connection time was insufficient. This didn't seem to stop QF issuing the ticket though! Equally, the Heathrow website says the required connection time for my flights is 90 mins.

My guess is that it will all hinge on whether I have to collect my luggage on arrival at LHR, change terminals and recheck. Or whether my bags will be checked through, and I just have to get myself and my hand luggage from T5 to T3.

Does anyone have any direct experience of BA's interline arrangements with EK and do do you know if BA will check my luggage all the way through to MEL from my originating flight in NCE? All on one booking and a single PNR.

With thanks.
