BA - two free nights in SIN (twin share)

Just booked a 3 day Australia Day long weekend and chose The Raffles which just so happens to be on SWMBO's Bucket List. Needless to say this gift has been greeted with much joy and happiness. I went for Y+ to get the 1 point per mile and extra status credits on BA and only $400 more than Y tickets in total.

Selected 2 nights at The Raffles and SWMBO will find somewhere for the 1st night in/around Little India. Given we arrive into SIN at 21:30 I didn't want to waste a night.

Excellent spot markis10!!

A (pre-planned) month in Asia visiting friends in SIN, HKG, HGH, PVG, PEK and HKT will now be bookended by 2.5 hours in the SYD Flounge and 2 free nights in a suite at Raffles SIN. Beats what we were going to do by light years.

$800 for a return flight and a night at the raffles!

question- can you choose the hotel for only part of the journey? E.g. Go for 5 nights, using the 2 free nights and then swap to somewhere else?

oops- just noticed the option re hotel different dates to flights

Yes, we are in SIN 3 nights. When choosing the hotel, select required dates. We are now staying the 1st night with a friend so as not to waste any of our free time at Raffles!
 
A big thank you to markis10 for the information to this BA promo :)

I have now booked myself and the +1 into The Raffles for two nights after returning from a friend's wedding in coughet in late November.

Given that its almost worthless to credit BA Y to QFF, should I credit to AA or AS ?

I had a look at this and I was quite suprised to see that the prices varied depending on the hotel. I through free was free.

Aside from the fact that the price ex PER for the time that I am looking for is over $10k in Y. If it was a voucher to use toward hotels then that would be a different story.

While I have used and appreciate BA0015/BA0016 I really do wish BA would get aggravated with the current hoops in the codeshare agreement on the PER-SIN route and re-start it with BA flight numbers.

I've said it once before on this thread Markis10 and I will say it again, you are a LEGEND! Long weekend for SWMBO and I in Singers and as expected The Raffles has not disappointed. What a truly amazing place it is. More than a few Slings have been enjoyed!

Make sure you let us know when you see this BA offer again! :)
 
Again, many many thanks to Markis10 for sharing this wonderful offer. SWMBO and I enjoyed two amazing nights at Raffles last week to round off five weeks in Asia. The hotel is simply awesome (even if it almost needs another facelift). Very many thanks.

IMO BA is now extremely worthwhile out of SYD to SIN with the upgraded 777-300ER. As part of this offer I bought Y+ and ended up travelling in J both ways. A gate op-up (both QF WP) at SYD :cool: and then an Avios upgrade (10,000 each) ensured this was a memorable trip.

If you can get hold of Avios then the upgrade from Y+ to J, especially for the overnight leg to SYD is one of the best redemptions ever. Upgrade availability is generally excellent too as 7+ seats are opened up on a rolling two week pre-departure window. In fact the J cabin had <20 pax out of ~60 coming back with 5 reward seats (I think) still available.

Thats great to hear. I noticed you said the J cabin is opened up at T-14 days. Does this happen with the F cabin too?

Yes, it appears to occur for F too on that leg. Current Avios availability for 2 pax in F SIN-SYD is ok for 10 days out of the next fortnight. 60,000 Avios and GBP165 each, much less if upgrading from J.

Interestingly/typically, availability SYD-SIN is zero. First F seat is 28/5, then 4/6, 30/7 and sporadically after that.
