I am looking to buy a trans-tasman flight as VA gold on a VA codeshare with Air NZ metal, am I eligible for 1 baggage if I book a Go fare that doesn't come with baggage normally?

Based on the last highlighted part, it seems I am not eligible for baggage:
Velocity Gold and Platinum members also receive additional baggage allowance on Virgin Australia codeshare flights operated by Air New Zealand, excluding itineraries where a Seat Only fare has been purchased.

However, technically Seat Only fare aren't sold by VA, as those are called Go fare instead, so I got confused on whether I am allowed a free baggage or not based on my status.

I'm pretty sure I'm correct in saying that if you book it with VA (i.e. a Go fare), then you will be allowed the extra bag, regardless of who operates the flight. The quote about Seat only fares is relevant if you booked the flight with NZ. It comes down to who you book with, the operating airline does not matter.

Thanks, you are correct, I booked the flight and it shows I am entitled to 1 baggage even though I book a Go fare.

Now let's see whether I can do seat selection, it isn't available online.
