I’ve got a bag probably 28kg. Total gold is 46kg, however classed as x2. Would the heavier one bag be all good? Never tried this before.

Short answer — no. They don’t pool the weight allowances like JQ do. Each bag will need to be no more than 23kg, or you might get stung with the excess baggage fee — depends if you get a lenient agent, or one who is a stickler for the rules.

Thanks for that. The agent hinted that the max is 23.9kgs per bag, after that little bit of leeway is given, it’s $50 for anything over but 33kg is the max per bag (I assume safety reasons).

33kg in terms of safety reasons. Ie you could take a 32kg bag and they get 1kg of leeway but anything other that she said they will refuse to take it
