So I know everyone is getting in a froth about the LAX lounge changes but I noticed that on the same day VA also announced a change in the Bali lounge access too (moving from the JAS Premier Lounge to Taurus Gemilang lounge). The JAS one wasn't too bad (for Bali anyway - and heaps better than the old one). Strangely I can't seem to find anything on the TG lounge not written by the TG Lounge itself - does anyone have any insights?

Hit the TG lounge on the way back from Bali yesterday.

You get three alcoholic drinks per guest which I think is an upgrade over the Premier as they have draught Bintang. Wife wasn't too impressed with the Plaga cask wine but hey two more Bintang for me right?

They had a noodle station with a cook you could choose your own and they would make it fresh, either fried or soup noodles plus veg and chicken etc. Some nice looking desserts which I did not try and I understand they would also whip you up smoothies and banana splits if that was your thing.

The staff were all very good, nice and helpful.

Had a shower - clean bathroom with towels available.

All in all a vast improvement I think.

I also used this lounge back in May. Seemed pretty good, and as Spook says there was a noodle station and clean bathrooms/showers. When I visited each guest was also entitled to a free 15 minute massage.

The number of complimentary alcoholic drinks is limited though.

Given the exorbitant alcohol tax, it kinda makes sense.
