Hi everyone,

I have been conditionally approved for the Bank of Melbourne Amplify Platinum card.
I would like to know if council rates, utility bills, mobile phone / internet broadband bills, and public transport fares
are considered eligible purchases for the 100K bonus points ?

Thank you.

Probably best to keep away from Government and semi Government stuff to get your bonus. You will still get points but I think the bonus specifically mentions these for no bonus.

Does one need to wait until the entire $12 k is spent before one received any sign up bonus points ?

My son should get his physical card in the next few days. I might get to use it to run up a stash of Kris Miles him. I can think of a few non Government expenses I could put on his card. That $12,000 won‘t be a barrier.
