Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Mine posted today as well, 38 points, I only opened the account two weeks aga :p, June should be a good points accumulation month :D
 
So is that because of a lot of transactions, or you have parked a lot in the account?

Both. Drive a lot of funds through the account plus a "shop" each working day for less than $2. A transaction earns 5 points IIRC.
My transactions are usually something like a bottle of water or a packet of chewy. Or both seperately. :mrgreen:

Good choice. My business loan has an offset account so all the business cash is there. My own cash is split with half or so with Bankwest.
 
I got the email saying the 10k points offer is on until 18 July 2014, will definitely look into getting it.

Thought I had posted this but it obviously got lost whilst have some internet issues.

Currently at the KL Hilton and card does not work.

This account has been an issue ever since I got it.

  1. Sorry sir but you have not activated your account --- Yes I have --- It is all fixed now sir.
  2. Sorry sir but you have not activated the card yet --- Yes I have --- It is all fixed now sir.
  3. Sorry sir you have not set up a pin yet --- Yes I have --- It is all fixed now sir.
  4. If travelling OS you need to fill in a form and ring us to advise --- form filled in --- No need to do the form sir i will take the details on the phone.
  5. Go to use card in KL --- Card does not work at several locations --- phone Bankwest --- card and account look OK sir no issues that we see.

Card still does not work :!: I have sent emails. One 12 hours ago and one just now --- no response yet.

I have transferred now $1500 (daily limit) from the account to my CBA account so I can use my own money.

VERY frustrating.​

Further to my last I now have a reply. I know it says to ring them if I have issues but I have to say 'been there done that'

Not much use IMHO.

Well arrived home to a new card from Bankwest for my transaction account - I had been using the card for transactions - so thought what is happening but nope bankwest advised that my batch of cards appear to have some problems being accepted at some retailers so they have re-issued the cards to those that it may effect.

Thanks for the update. I too received a second card in today's mail; nothing with it to say why. Was going to just shred the new card so now I guess I should try both cards before I shred one of them. Of course I could always give one of the cards & PIN to +1:shock:

That may explain, but not help, my issues.
 
Decided to put through a few $1.00 (+ a $2.15) transactions at Coles today, 20 point earn better than 5 points I would've earned with QCash :p
 
I can only ever manage self service shopping for everything cheap!

Today shoukd get us 40 points, for just 8 transactions.

Cheapest two were plain flour at 80c each...

Last months "shopping" and savings is over 200 points (mainly cheap shopping) plus some $1000 daily accoint balance.

Just waiting for a return call from BW, as hopefully only I have made the error (I've got a spreadsheet of spending and saving).

Many $1 payments or transactions have been made to pay things.
 
Does anyone know when we will recieve statements for our QFF account (From BW?)

Haven't recieved anything yet, can't even see an option/info on their website.
