Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Never too late to join the party just don't be a party pooper and spoil it for everybody else by abusing this loophole.

Definitely not planning on spoiling it for anyone, had the card for a few months after seeing this thread - just haven't utilised it yet.

Is anyone else having problems doing Telstra payments tonight?

iMacro can fill in the payment details, but Firefox can't find ebapweb.billpay.telstra.com to complete the payment. I have rebooted the modem, router and computer, but there was no improvement.

50 payments were completed, before the problem occurred. And I haven't received any receipts for either yesterday's or tonight's payments.

I haven't received any receipts for the last 2 days.
I'm asleep when the payments are processed so I rely on the receipts to know if things worked.
Bankwest is showing that my payments 100 per account per day have been processed.
It's not unsual for Telstra to do work on their systems on the weekend.

+1 from me - no emails for 2 days, but BW accounts show all transactions processed OK.
So let's see what the next few days bring. With any luck, we'll all be back to normal soon.

No Telstra receipts again today, but Bankwest showing payments have been processed.

yeah i havent been getting any email receipts either. do you guys just check online banking to see its gone through?

EDIT: ignore question. just checked my online banking and looks like its going through, just had never checked via bankwest online banking it before (aside from making sure the statements + QFFs being posted) :D

I worked out what the problem was.

I was paying via https://www.my.telstra.com.au/myaccount/paybill?pvt_access_mode=true#empty. I went to the Pay a Bill link, which is https://www.my.telstra.com.au/myaccount/paybill#empty and it's working.

Like everyone else though, I haven't received any receipts for today, yet.

Why are people having receipts emailed? I just log in to my BW Internet banking and see that the balance is the correct amount lower than the previous day and then I know it has processed properly. Why not just program a macro to log in and take a screen shot of your account balance?

Spoke too soon!

Same problem again. To fix it, I delete the Telstra cookies each time I do a full payment. I don't know which cookie(s) is/are the problem.

I've also had problems loading the other websites recently. Deleting all of Firefox's cookies seemed to fix those problem too.

I'm on Telstra cable. I wonder if that's what's actually causing the problems?

It baffles me as well; I don't need extra 50 (or 100) emails, I receive enough emails already. I have a separate iMacro that logs into BW and searches for all $0.01 transactions over the last 24 hours. I can easily then verify how many transactions are pending.

Im the same, I have NEVER put an email in for receipts, how utterly pointless in my opinion. I also think its adding un-necessary strain on telstra servers and I think we should be avoiding that at all costs.

I only processed receipts for the first few days to confirm my macro was working correctly and then stopped cos I was sick of getting 100+ emails each morning.

I've just checked my account and my weekend transactions were listed yesterday as 'Authorisation Only' and now they're gone. I've gone back through my previous transactions and it looks like weekend payments show up on the Wednesday of the week. Yesterday is there at the moment, so I'll check tomorrow to confirm my weekend ones are confirmed.

Yes mine has done the same thing. They were there yesterday and now they are gone.
But looking at previous weeks, it does appear that weekend transactions end up with a Wednesday date.
Never noticed the "Authorisation Only" to disappear though?
Although the "Available Balance" is still accounting for the weekend transactions.

While the Authorisation and the payment transaction are logically related what you have proved here is they are not physically related. That is the Authorisation can disappear before the payment actually hits the account, I've also seen the opposite, i.e. the payment has hit an account without the authorisation (yet) dropping off.

did anyone's point transferred over? My points has still not gone across not sure if the transfer rate is different for everyone

Points usually don't arrive in QFF until about the 5th, but should be on your Bankwest statement by now.
However there was one occasion last year that the points didn't show up in QFF until 15th.

Cheers
