Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Mine just disappeared.

Update: They have moved it to the closed account section. So I still have access to all of the statements.

Yep, exactly the same. There was no balance, so the last eStatement (dated the day of the closure) shows zero balance and zero points.

Again - you may have only had 1 card at closure time - but you were a 2 card abuser and had already been flagged.
I don't think that it's fair to say that someone with 2 cards is an abuser. There is nothing in the T&Cs that indicate that you can't have 2 cards. More than one account is against the terms not more than one card as far as I can see.

We not saying anyone is abuse here , we interest to see what BW think is "abuse" their system . we here at AFF most of us have 2 cards even 3 or 4 , some people only have 1 card and stick with it . We trying to figure out a pattern which get your account closed up until now and all evidence saying at accounts with 2 cards or more all getting the letter .

People with 1 card still alive for the time being . And i think it is true for AUG wave . SEP could be different . Anyone in BW can look at your account will know that u doing 1c , question is they only bother with people doing more than 50 a day because they think that "abuse" their system .

My account (2cards ) got kill . My wife still alive (1card ) . Not that i think it wont get kill but hope that it can last for a few more months 7.5k a month is nice bonus for our points balance as our monthly only generate around 10k points with other cards .

1/ You missed the entire point - and that is that he had 2 cards - he got flagged, then eventually shut down.

He WAS NOT a "1 card customer" which is what people are asking about in the thread - yet he keeps piping up and claiming that his shutdown was a data point proving that "1 card customers" we're getting shut down.

It's a false point and just pollutes the thread with bad info.

2/ Of course having 2 cards is an abuse! The T&Cs make very clear that you're only allowed 1 account, and you're not supposed to have 2 cards - WHICH EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD IS WELL AWARE.

Of course good on anyone for scamming it and getting away with it. This is the game.

But it's an abuse - and most 2-card abusers are copping it sweet.

But.... They are "2 card abusers".

argeed with 2 cards is too much . Hope all the 1 card account will live abit longer . Only
Start in FEB

So completely true. It's just time wasting when people post junk into this thread. I love the hilarity that ensues when those new to the game get shut down for the first time, like it is some mortal offence that came out of the blue.

Have fun, earn points, exploit the loop holes then suck it up when you get blown and move on.

1 card account (never had multiple) received letter today. We have 2 accounts at this address and most recent account opened has been closed. Been opened over 12mths.

Question for everyone getting letters today... what dates are on the letters? Send date, account close date, etc?

I hope that you all receive your points for August?

My account has been closed as well. Ah well, I knew it couldn't last forever. Still, can't complain. Final tally is well over 300,000 points. Thanks Bankwest, it's been fun, lets do it again some time.

Same letter and dates as deejo above received by my wife and self this morning (both single carders since Oct-14, 50 Telstra transactions each most days). Was great while it lasted, thanks BankWest, Telstra and AFF members

Same dates for 2 accounts here. Both are long established and have 1 card running 50 Telstra transactions a day. Been a good run, sorry to see it go

Can't complain about that. Wish I was onto this earlier on.

Waiting on the letter to arrive.
Single account opened ages ago.
Only started the telstra transactions 3 months back.
Got a strange statement online dated 25 August
with no transactions. Also received a statement dated
24 August with transactions.

4 accounts at our address:

2 closure letters received today (single card accounts) dated 22nd Aug with 5th Sep closure date

2 accounts still yet to receive a letter - one of which is a 2 card account (and was the earliest opened)
