Mate, it's a game.
Get over it and yourself!

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but there is no point being angry and bitter about it. Just move on to the next one.

Yep exactly right - no point trying to pass the blame no matter how you put it...

I also think we should note there is no "requirement" for anyone to share anything here. I don't want to go down the FT route where people are sometimes quite aggressive about those who share information because essentially "it ruins it for me". With any information shared here there is a balance, i.e. you do enable others to leverage off it but equally you probably also contribute to the opportunities demise.

Because I recognise the latter I don't "expect" anyone to share anything but welcome those who do and I think if you have any other expectation you should probably get out of this game.

I've never paid much attention to this thread, but messages over the last 12 hours are drawing a lot of attention to it.

Exactly. Neon clearly just wasn't on the ball.

On this one occasion I certainly wasn't as I was off spending some of the shedton of points I raked in thanks to BW and this thread.

Forgive me for trying to make "the game" more productive for everyone, some people have a knack of wanting to help others, others don't, that is human nature.

I don't recall reaching out for your help...

No-one said you did?

Good point, Kudos to you and your advice and hard work on this thread alone. It is appreciated.

People did share, you just didn't read. Plenty of reports of the extra points when it first happened.
What more do you expect, a shoe shine and back rub?

Have only just come back to this thread so not quite up to speed. How many points exactly are we talking about being reversed?

AFF has an ability to 'multi-quote'. That is, you can select a number of posts to quote in the one reply.

At the bottom-right of each post is a symbol with a quotation mark and + sign:

llTmg7f.png

Click on that and a tick will appear:

When you have selected all the posts you wish to include in your reply, then click 'Reply With Quote' and all the posts selected will appear in the one message - ready for your input.

Using the multi-quote facility can aid readability.

There have been plenty of messages posted here about the situation and suggestions as to how to keep the points. Yes, it's an anonymous forum, but bear in mind that the people who run these schemes aren't usually interested in just one member, but in closing loopholes for all. If they are monitoring this public forum, they will have a good idea of what's going on.

For this reason it's usually best not to chatter about corporate errors. The powers that be will notice, and correct the mistake. Chatter also keeps the thread up the top of the search results.

These sorts of things have a way of being abused. If it's only a handful of people obeying the T&C, fair enough - they skip under the radar. But when there's thousands, all trying to exploit the thing to the max, there's going to be repercussions, because some accountant somewhere will notice. How come we're selling a hundred tickets for a bus that only holds thirty passengers? What's going on?

So, best not to talk about the bus. Read the threads, PM those who seem to have the information, and if they think you are fair dinkum, they'll share. You'll get more trust if you kick in with good info yourself.

If you want a free ride, well, be prepared to be tossed off.

LOL over at australianfrequentflyer forums, they are asking members to downvote this deal so their members can still abuse this feature. TBH, didn't care about getting another CC, but voted this deal just to piss them off. "ataraxis: I recommend we all down vote this idiot's post"

Well for those who got in early, we can all be thankful this is only showing up on Ozbargain now. This will surely kill this for anybody still running small transactions on this account.
