Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I notice that when I log into my internet banking the transactions I make on a weekend come up as being made on the next Monday. This means on a Monday it says I made 150 transactions.

Does anyone know whether I'll still get the points for each of these even though the system is saying I made more than the max 50 transactions on this day?
The limitation is not in the T&C's for the account but supposedly in the actual operation of any BankWest transaction account. I say supposedly as noone has posted any reference to this, it appears to be based on actual experience of transactions (though some seem to have managed more). To cut a long story short, if the system allows the transactions you should get the points for them.

Hi, I have seen people talking about statements, I have no statements available when I log into Bankwest, has any one else had this problem, I have had the account for over 2 months. Thanks

Hi Bree, you need to elect to receive eStatements.
Log onto your account > select eStatements > select the account and follow the prompts (I'm already receiving statements so I can't tell you what the prompts are).

Cheers,
Ben

Received a statement today for 11 July to 14 july multiple transactions but no points earned...... weird.....will await month end to see what posts

Interesingly, as soon as you do this, you can view a statement showing trabsactions from when you opened the account.

Has anyone had the 10k bonus points credited yet?
Still waiting for mine. Also looking for someone I use who takes 1 cent payments. Also happy if someone could PM me macro details.
When looking at the .pdf statements as above I see:

BWstat.JPG

It has not hit my QFF A/C yet, but the 10K should not be too long! (Early next month?)

Ok 10K looks to be coming.........doesn't appear to have my points on the statement for the transactions or account balance....will wait to see what posts to QFF

Looking at my e-statement it has 0pts for transactions (other than the 10k bonus) despite making maybe 400 or so during the statement period. Has anyone else in this situation and any idea whether the points will still post to my QFF account?

It says on the statement that it is "the number of Qantas Points credited to your blar during the statement period". The key part of this is "statement period" and "credited". Points are sent to Qantas monthly (as per the T&C). They arrive in the my Qantas account on or close to the 5th of each month. If the statement period does not include the day points are sent to Qantas the value of points credited is zero (because no points have been credited).

No points have been credited to Qantas, therefore will not appear on statement. It says something about the values being "points credited" during the "statement period". My points hit Qantas account monthly (on about the 5th) so nothing would have been sent to QFF account between the 11th and the 14th. Simples...

What sort of transactions are you talking about, with the card, Bpay, electronic transfer?

My account is registered for e-statements, but there doesn't appear to be one available.
On the left hand side menu there is an "eStatements" option:

Been there, done that. No statement available.

I only activated e-statements Monday for 1 account and yesterday for another. It was only after that the e-statement option appeared.

If you are seeing something different, maybe force refresh your screen, clear cookies etc.

I don't think it will tell you anything you don't already know. You can check how many points have been credited via the Qantas site. The list of transactions that appear on the screen will be the same as the ones on the statement. I think statements are quarterly - at least that's what my other bankwest tran account was. Other ppl who have got a statement must be pushing through so many transactions that it is triggering a statement to be made - my business account works like that (think it issues a statement when the transactions run over 11 or 12 A4 pages.

Thanks. I figured that it's probably to early for a statement anyway.

Don't think so.

One account had about about 5 transactions - that statement was just the one PDF page; the other was 1½ pages with about 15 transactions.

I had some time tonight whilst shopping at Woolworths, so I thought I would give it a go and take the mickey a bit. So I gave the BW debit card a bit of a work over, in quarter dollar instalments.

It does get monotonous after a while, but what is more disturbing is the scene it risks making. I lucked out and got the self-serve machine closest to the exit, which is closest to both the checkout assistant and the store security. They didn't look at me too funny nor did I get pulled aside, but it was rather "dangerous" as I kept cycling through doing split bill then tapping the card. It didn't help that the robot voice kept on loudly proclaiming what I was doing many times.....you'd think a record player was broken saying "Follow the pinpad prompts to finalise your payment". I stopped short of making up a silly amount of transactions and paid a suitably large balance with my Amex, then got the hell out.

The resulting receipt was something else. I have attached a photo of it hanging down, taped to the top of a door frame for reference. Probably lucky I stopped otherwise they might think their thermal printer was having issues.

For those of you thinking I deserve to have my points confiscated, that's fair enough....

Did the points end up posting?

I havent had the 10k post on either of the familys accounts yet how many of you still waiting
I did the required april may june deposits.
