Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I got a call from Optus about 10min ago as well. He seemed to be we'll aware that it's to do with bankwest which makes me wonder how long this will last for before the terms and conditions are changed.

Also so just got off the phone to bankwest (didn't give account details or my ID) and they confirmed with both the PDS & with colleagues that there should be no limit to the number of transactions per day. Makes me wonder if it is purely a security thing and whether it can be overridden somehow on their end? Or perhaps it's 50 per merchant before they stop you? Has anyone tried paying multiple vendors? Optus and Telstra for instance?

Must be costing Optus a fortune to process the payments.

The amount you have entered exceeds the maximum amount accepted by Optus - Please try again.

I tried with 0.01 0.10 and 1.00

I get the same with my account, even tried to $15.00, no luck lol; it will still accept $0.01 payments for my sister's account though ;)

Yes, well in our case we haven't linked our services so have multiple accounts with Optus!

Could someone PM me the macro? Tried setting one for Telstra but having problems getting the Continue/submit button to work properly
Thanks

Hi Jonavo, welcome to the forums, generally looking back a few pages will help you locate the macro you are looking for... or you can google imacros; the macro will no longer work with Optus.

Thanks for welcome and advice benjy, have set up something with imacro for Telstra. Can't quite get it work yet but will keep playing around with it tomorrow.

Thanks again :)

i havent tried closing this account yet, but every time ive closed a bank account it has been akin to pulling teeth. they virtually follow you out the door rabbiting on about what a terrible mistake you are making. It requires great resolution to sternly ignore their protestations.

did anyone else get a target email about applying for the bankwest qantas plat credit card? bonus 30K points but annual fee and the 30K counts towards the yearly cap - deleted it rather quick as a 1:0.75 card its rubbish

Not here, unless I actually deleted it in haste.

Yes I received but same as you, straight to the trash.

Just double checking for those paying Telstra bills - I don't have an account any more now that I've moved; do you have to log in to your account to make the 1c transactions?

Anyone having issues with Telstra using Firefox just do a full browser reset, clear cookies etc and reopen firefox. Telstra made some changes and it'll cause your card to fail validation.

I'm still paying Optus several times per day but after each payment the phone gets a text message sent to it to indicate that a payment has been made. Does anyone know how to stop these texts?

There are some message apps where you can block senders. I use Chomp on my android. YMMV.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for making 1c payments now that it appears that Optus have put a stop to it?
I don’t have an account with Telstra but if they have a service for say $5-$10 per month I would be willing to use it as a means of making these payments. The same goes for other telecommunications providers.
Any other possible products/services that allow small payments online?
