Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I assumed you meant it only took a few seconds to finish loading the page.
Just to clarify, from one "Thank you, your payment has been received" message to the next "Thank you" page after a refresh takes about 8-10 seconds when allowing for a 4 second wait so that about 6-7 transactions are completed per minute.

Thanks.

I've managed to do a 49 transaction loop in about 10 minutes by giving the "Thank you, your payment has been received" page 10 seconds to load before a 2 second wait occurs. So that's about 5 transactions per minute instead of 1. As the available balance on BOB after the 50 payments is correct, obviously the data from infos.telstra.com and a connection to www.google-analytics.com are unnecessary for a successful payment.

20 minutes to earn 500 points is so much more tolerable than 2 hours.

I've got my two cards ( 96 - 100 transactions ) down to less than ten minutes at a Coles self-service ( cards only ) machine.
Can't work out the 'macro' thing, but then don't have a Telstra or Optus bill in my name either ...

so are you spending 10 minutes per day at coles, every day?

Surprised you can manage 100 in 10 minutes. I can only do about half that. Noticed some machine or sometime a little faster in response time. Most of the time I had to wait for response to come up on the screen, otherwise ended up missing a key stoke etc, thus rejecting the entry and had to repeat!

Thanks.

I wish that method would work with Optus :(

It does seem 'insane', doesn't it ?
But yes, I'm using my two cards ( actually, one in partner's name ) every day, at either Coles or Woolies.
Coles is now preferred ( definately faster ).
I am still learning more about what can be done ...
Yesterday, I definately clicked up 51 transactions on each card at Coles ( I counted them on the paper receipt )
I have a potential theory here ...
I'm going to have to count the actually approved transactions on my BW online account, to match them to the paper transactions.
I'm thinking, anything over the '50' is not being processed and accepted by BW.
This 'may' mean, that the 'over 50' transactions are somehow 'free' ??

I'll post again, after I do some counting ...

Ok, just counted them up ...

I can now say with authority, that my BW cards are processing over 50 transactions per day.

I counted 66 transactions that are showing as 'processed' on my account. 55 another day, and 51 yesterday.

Today, I will 'test' a Coles machine ...

I will attempt 98 transactions, using just the one card ( then I will pull a rabbit out from under my hat !! )

My past experience, when attempting to use two cards for 100 transactions on the SAME machine, caused it to 'crash'. It came up with a 'grey screen', and started re-booting itself. This happened at 99 transactions. So, it would seem, that's the limit on each machine.

Isn't this fun ???

Are you paying the same amount each transaction?

Is there a way to create a sticky post somewhere, that could show the minimum payment amounts at service providers online portals.

i.e.

Telstra 1¢
Optus 1¢/$1?
Yarra Valley Water $1
Citylink 1¢?

rather than having to trawl through the last 90 pages of posts (and then finding that the information is out of date)?

If someone knows of a quick way to search for this information please enlighten me.

OT I know but didn't want to start a new thread.

Coming soon - a superannuation fund that will offer QFF points. AFIK there isn't one doing it at the moment.
Sorry I can't say more but I'm sworn to secrecy.

How easy is it to transfer funds between Bankwest accounts ?

My family have all signed up for the QF Transaction account, and would like to share say $2k between then per month.

Are you sure? One card I have shows 99 transactions on one day, but that's because 49 of them are from late on the previous day. I could only do 50 transaction on day one and 50 on day two, even though they are not recorded as such by BW (one on the first day & 99 on the second). This was with Telstra though, so maybe paying in a store is different somehow.

I just tried making a payment to Yarra Valley Water after 50 payments to Telstra and I got the message "Exceeds Withdrawal Frequency Limit" so there is definitely a 50 transaction limit.

I look forward to the results of your experiments.

Dead simple, just log in to internet banking and set up a recurring transaction, say once a week. Can be between different banks too.
This is exactly what I have done between accounts - set and forget.

Got my card yesterday.

I cant get telstra to work.

getting this
