Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Actually it's entirely relevant given there are similar bank accounts out there that earn QF points and the previous posts discussing the point earn on balances.
Name one of these accounts. Transaction accounts are a pretty dull product normally, but we all sort of need one. The points offer is a point of differentation. Not too many other transaction accounts will give me 5 points if I nip down to Coles for some milk.

Qantas CU is the only one I know (so account rather than accounts). But their earn is not so brilliant either albeit better than this product.

But this kind of ignores the fact that most people have this product to leverage the points per transaction bonus rather than the money lying in the account aspect.

No, it's the other way around. The earn rates on having money in the Bankwest account are far greater than the Qantas CU account.

Qantas CU is not even a transaction account, doesn;t come with a card, so it is hardly similar. The thing is, most people need a transaction account. So why not have one that pays points.

I assumed that "earn" rate referred to points earn rate... not interest earning rates.
Well the both have the word "earn" in them so they are both earn rates. Yes, this is a FF forum, but IMO if you ignore the costs (opportunity foregone) in earning opportunities it's my opinion (and my opinion only I must hasten to add) that's pretty stupid.

Or Anyone's Telstra account got banned for making 1c payments?

Nope, but it makes it hell for the call centre workers to find anything, as all the records of invoices, previous calls to the call centre, chat sessions, etc., and the 1¢ payments, are listed together by date.

I just love how Telstra's paying me a processing fee, rather than charging me one.

Automated scripts don't take up any of my time!

Can you share the script via pm? I'm currently topping up citylink... any good?
Can't really share as my script is not for citylink. But google imacros, essentially this will allow you to record and replay your transaction, cut and paste times x, save and set to run daily.

Does anyone have an imacros or similar script that is working successfully with Telstra? When my account was a business account, everything was fine but now that I have moved it to being a personal account, I cannot get a macro to work. I can do repeated manual payments without waiting, but it seems to somehow know when it is a macro and when it is a human as the macro cannot get past the first screen without an error.

Hhhhhmmmm my macro is getting declined on all of my transactions today.
Anyone else seeing this? Happening with 2 cards.

Thanks
Craig
