no Not an airfare but I recall that some of you like the Banyan Tree Bangkok

Located in the heart of of the city, Banyan Tree Bangkok is offering a deluxe package that includes not only three nights' accommodation but also breakfast, high tea and an upgrade to a Premier Room along with a bunch of other extras. All this is just $354 per stay and is valued at over $700.

This 3-night package for two people is valid for stays right up until 6 April, 2012
You need to go to $354 -- 3-Night Luxury Bangkok Hotel Package (reg. $700+)
Make sure you read the fine print as its not via the hotel wesite :arrow:

BIG note it's to April 2012 so hopefully you could fit it in.

Moved to Travel News, but I have taken a note to suggest to the Mod Team/Admin that a cheap accommodation thread might be in order.

** Note from admin. Have done. Thanks for this great suggestion. **

I don't intend to go back to Thailand (ever if I can avoid it). This is a business trip and would have halved my hotel bill :( I am actually checking in probably at about 12:05AM on 6 April...

Thanks Markis, took me a little time to work out where i could put it. add my vote for a accom thread:D

The hotel is a good 10 minute walk (they do have a complimentary shuttle at selected tmes) to the nearest subway station which may not seem far....but remember the Bangkok heat / humidity:shock:. If you stay, make sure you get a club room as the servings etc in the evening are very nice. Also don't forget to have drinks at the Vertigo bar...go a lttle early to score a nice table and watch the sun set over Bangkok!

It’s a pretty good hotel. The breakfast buffet is one of the most comprehensive I have seen. Note though that it is a fair way from the centre of things.

I purchased one of the vouchers last night, as I am going there in late June this year for a holiday. I just hope the voucher will be able to be used on the dates I want. Surely there won't be too many restrictions? Hmm. Have never bought a Travelzoo voucher before so I guess this will be interesting.

I have had drinks and dinner at Vertigo back in 2007, was a great experience and the hotel looks really luxurious. Have always wanted to stay at the hotel so hopefully it lives up to my expectations.

Has anyone else purchased this voucher?

Stayed there when it was a Westin and had a good time, the pool was different!

Re: Banyan Tree Bangkok is offering a deluxe package - Special (expiry: 6 April 2011

kpc and I stayed at the Banyan Tree last year, ableit on different days, in a club floor suite - one of the biggest hotel rooms I've ever had - :) :) for around $125 per night, along club level benefits, breakfast in the main restaurant was also included :) I do believe it was an error rate ;)

Great service, nice modern thai inspired decor and very comfortable rooms but I wasn't too fond of the location though it's really not that far from anywhere. I'm just lazy to walk ;)

I do love Vertigo bar and is one of a few rooftop bars that I will always head to whenever I'm in Bangkok!

vertigo is awesome.
as a hotel i would prefer to stay at the sukothai which is effectively next door.
