I need to book 2 x one way seats on a April 2013 flight from Beijing to Brisbane (returning from a cruise that ends in Beijing). I use Best Flights, which gives an good range of operators and prices. I am keen to book with Singapore Airlines, as there is a stopover in Singapore at around half way mark. Their current price is close to $1000 pp.
I understand that there are sales and have been told that around September there could be some price drops. What price should I be looking at for this airline...$850 -900 pp?

Would you give one of the China airlines a thumbs up? They are currently the least expensive for that flight.

Thanks from a novice o'seas traveller.

What's wrong going Y? Is the food, seats, service so much inferior?
Food YES - but more importantly IME the cleaning of bathrooms etc on Chinese carriers in Y totally insufficient.

Not saying FAs don't try - they just seem to get and stay putrid rather quickly.
