I've been a bit lazy in introducing myself - although I keep meaning to - so I'll finally do it.
Have been mainly on FT since about 2008 and up until QF offered New Zealand residents a status match to Gold, all my flying and interest was on NZ and other Star Alliance carriers. After getting the status match and applying for QF-earning credit cards I've been spending more and more time on AFF, and it's such an invaluable resource! I've been helped numerous times by trawling threads and asking questions - so thank you to everyone! I've now switched all my flying (where possible) to QF and have retained Gold the past couple of years since the status match and I'm hoping to attain WP early next year.
Most of my flying is leisure, with a few work trips thrown in. So having the knowledge to gain points and strategically use them for upgrades on QF has been fantastic, as well as finding some great SC runs to cheaply maintain status for my regular leisure trips. Anyway, I'll hopefully see a few people at Do's in the near future
