Best business seats with partner on 777 ?

My wife and I are flying Hong Kong LAX return and we are trying to decide if we opt for two middle seats together or window seats one behind the other .The middle seats don't appear to be conducive to having a chat with your flying buddy so would I be interested in anyone's comments on this. We will be flying over night on both sectors so the view is not really a priority

D & G every time. Only one has to lean forward to chat, pass something etc. A & K you have to leave your seat for any little comment.

We have had no trouble chatting in centre seats and generally book 15 D&G on CX777.
