I use my credit card mainly to get frequent flyers points. I coughulate a fair bit of them as I run my business expenses as well on my personal credit card. At the moment I am using the Citibank Citi Select card which I found out is not that good points wise and very expensive (luckily it got given to me for the first year). I like the fact so that they don't have a limit on points earnings but only offer a $1 => $2 in CItibank account and then translate to $1 mile in Krisflyer (making in it 1/1 redemption to krisflyer).

I am not interested in making redemption to Qantas and would prefer another airline program such as Emirates, Singapore or other with no points limit redemption.

Can anyone advise what would be the best card for me ?

I assume you are asking for info on best CC that will earn rewards points transferrable to FF miles and not a Membership to a FF program?

If this is the case - until yesterday when I received notification from Westpac SQ advising halving of rewards earn on Visa card - then I would have said undoutedly that the Westpac Sing Air AMEX VISA card would be best for.

Now not so sure - AMEX Plat right now 75,000 bonus points at take up which will get you a return Biz Saver award to ant Asian destination plus the normail earn rate of 1.5pt/$1 spent - but does have a spend cap.

Doesn't sound that interesting anymore. I have a Citibank Citi select and feel a bit ripped off as I transferred my points (100 000 pts) to krisflyer yesterday to find out that this meant that I was getting only 50000 krisflyer miles in my account.
I like singapore airline and most asian or emirates airline but can't find a good reward program for it which would make me earn a max points for my money as we travel a lot.

Cheers

AMEX will get you 1.5/$1 and transfer on to KF.

The Westpac SQ AMEX Visa still has a great AMEX component as you get double points for SQ bookings = 3pts/$1 spend.

But halving the earn rate on the Visa has taken a heap of gloss of it.

I am like you - no interest in Qantas pts earning - I fly SQ 10 times a year to China / Phils and back - am desperate to earn KF points.

Hopefully someone else will come with a product that will earn 1:1 on Visa or MC and be able to transfer points to KF - hopefully.

A good card I found is the Citibank Emirates card. The only problem is you can only comulate 150000 points per year otherwise it is the best I have without being QFF or AMex
