What would be best J seats for 2 BNE/LAX QF015?, I guess when we go in August all 747 will be 2 class.

Current seats selected are upper deck 15 JK, not sure about available 14 JK exit rows do the have any storage?, or is lower deck better?.

There is only 1 2-class 747 left, and that is OJD. This does the majority of 581/582, and some ad-hoc international trips (mostly to HKG/NRT), so chances are you will not be on her.

If you are looking at August you are (most likely) looking at the refitted 3 class 747 with Skybed MII my preference for this type would be row 14 UD or 1 2 or 3 downstairs if you don't mind the hike to the bathroom. If youi have exact dates we can have a look at the seat map as it stands at the moment.

thanks guys.

Depart 12th Aug.

what storage do they have?.

We like upper deck as storage is on side?

Status pax don't pay for exits.

3EF wont have anyone in front of them.

Storage is NOT as good in the A section.

Asked and answered.

The storage on the upper deck is not such a plus for me. I tend to put everything in the overhead locked. I have had the experience of my goods and chattels sliding down several rows in the side storage on the upper deck. Have they put dividers in to stop this, now?

3EF is particularly good if travelling with a +1. You can pretend it is in a mini cabin - sort of. I haven't tried 3EF yet, but always went for 4EF when it was available.

Don't forget that there isn't much overheard space in the A section.

Yep storage on the side but limited overhead storage. So have a carry on at the max size allowed and you will have trouble putting it up or in the side on the upper deck. Downstairs isn't a problem.

It won't be a two class aircraft unless a lot of aircraft go tech and they need to move pax quickly. OJD internationally will generally go runs to NRT and FRA if required, it is still spending almost all of its time on the PER run.

Yeah I ment 3 class, my bad.

We carry little with us on board just small thin trolley bag about briefcase size.

What is in front of 3E and F?

Been to USA about 20 times but not for 20 years, we'll sure see some huge changes especially in Las Vegas.

There's nothing really in front of 3E/F. Although not a real issue with Skybed MkII, there is a small benifit that no-one has to climb over (or be climbed over) when a PAX wants to access the aisle.

In the same vein, Skybed Mk II's in exit rows are not all that much better than other Skybed Mk II's.
