We all understand there are quirks in any system and many of them are explained on sites such as AFF.

I was wondering if there are any QF F deals that are worth considering or represrnt better value with regards to points and SC's?

I did come across a situation as it was explained to me, it was cheaper to fly F one way SYD-JNB than J class (done through corp travel dept and obviously understood by them)

Regards

SPRUCE ;)

The best I saw recently was a very good deal for a F-ASA to LA. It was 150,000 points or something very close if I recall, and that would earn you points and SC’s too, though it was for the next day… still decent, and would be cool if you could go within a moments notice.

Plan way ahead and use Melbourne and Sydney as departure points and book one way 355 days ahead with no more than 2 on each flight.

Sprucegoose - probably of no use to you - but can fly LHR to SYD and return in F for the same price as SYD to LHR and return in J: Qantas.

I saw June27 and June28 in First for 2 each or you could do split between PE,J and F on successive days in Classic if you have the points.

I take it you are comparing the F saver with the J flex.....

This happens alot but beware the F saver (and J saver) is pretty much as restricted fare as you can get - no changes - period!!

Indeed. Plus that restricted ticket is more expensive than some other airlines whixh do not have such restrictions. For GBP4300 can travel on EY in 1st with changes at GBP100 vs the GBP5300 with no changes on QF. Other airlines in the GBP5200 range allow changes
