Depends on what you want to achieve? Travel to where, class of travel, dates. All useful info.

Would want to travel J or F destanation, dates etc all open just want to maximise points usage.

Try and secure a F saver on a 747 to FRA or LAX via NRT?

I dont consider the use of standard awards good value but you have enough points.

Maybe a *A RTW in F?

Being on the Gold Coast going to SIN then LAX may not be as appealing because you are going backwards to go forwards.
Logan's run to LAX in F thru Narita is a winner on KRIS points value and on SAVER it is like WOW!.Coming home I have been using the A340-500 in all J LAX to SIN as the connection is good to get to PER rather than land at 1.00am in SIN on the F flight with no easy connection.
You are allowed 5 names so I have run the points in 2 names to get extra flexibility for our family and friends.
Europe is a real bargain right now so FRA sounded like a really good start and so easy to do.

lax-sin via nrt would appeal to me. longer flight than in reverse direction. in F, of course.

+1 to the use of F savers.

Also consider *A redemptions on AirNZ. Low taxes and good service. J redemptions to NZ, easy to come by and only 30k for J return.

Cove thanks for the dual card strategy. I'll have to consider that but I don't think I have the need for more than 5 nominees.

From SQ website: 35k in business class for *A SW Pacific to SW Pacific. SW Pacific destinations listed are Australia, NZ, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga. Excellent value.

The two Kris card strategy gives flexibility.if my partner wants to go to NYC or London for shows and shopping with a friend they can do it at very short notice in every choice except A380 FIRST.
Pretty magnificent stuff for our immediate family of four and I don't get worried if it is not all in Saver as the next column is still a great deal.
If you have time the Saver is a good saving. If you want to go now just spend a few extra points and off you go.

I think you mean A380 SUITES!

Yes I do mean the First Suite.
QF sometimes have their A380 First on points but not SQ so far.

All I have seen are the adverts so I cannot say if it is as good as it looks.
We have heaps of SQ points to burn off in the next 3 years so we dont need to aspire to a product we dont qualify for on points.
Has someone given the SQ Suite a shot?

I know QF009 has flown it.

I am not aware that it can be redeemed for on KF points (Full awards maybe?). Certainly wouldn't spend a massive premium of points or $ over regular F in any case. All things being equal, it certainly is a good product and worth trying at least once. The catering and service are almost identical (have been reading about enhanced entrees and amuse bouches of late) to normal F. Same choice of champers - Dom Perignon or Krug, and same wine list as regular F. You'll be given slightly better PJs and amenity kits (also Salvatore Ferragamo branded) over regular F. The bed is rather comfy as far as airline beds go as it's a proper bed; you get a fold out bunk bed type thing, which folds out separately from your seat, with a thin mattress to sleep on. The enclosed set up isn't really my thing as it takes away the sense of occassion you get when traveling, but I can see why people would like it.

Here's my TR of a SIN-LHR service in R:

The only problem with KF with fast earn rate is that you need to burn them fast as well. So yes redeem all in F would be best.

Yes you are right about that.
We have enough points to do a dozen trips in that style with SQ.
Time to go back to QF points making soon.

Well QF009 I will need to keep your photos hidden from Mrs Cove.
Actually when I saw the Haagen Dazs icecream I really started to waiver but I came to my senses and I can wait until the November trip to LAX.
