Hi there, I'm looking at going to the US next year. These are the flights I'm planning:
SYD-LAX (QF Y+)
LAX-Washington (AA Y-up)
Niagara Falls-JFK (Delta Y)
JFK-SYD (QF Y)

What would be the best way to book this? I can do the QF and AA bookings seperately, but will I be able to do Y and Y+ on the same booking? Any other suggestions for getting the best price?

Welcome to AFF!

From the looks of the cities listed, despite nothing being in Asia, wouldn’t this qualify as a Circle Pacific route? I’m not sure on Y prices for such a route, but could be cheaper overall. Someone a bit more senior can tell me and you otherwise.

Do you have enough frequent flyer points with AA or QF to upgrade to Y+?

Though I see you want to do a YUP, so a return might just be far cheaper.

Sometimes, mixing fare classes on te same itinerary can be more expensive than you think. Personally I'd be booking through an agent so you get the delta flight listed as intl connection. Book the yups on aa.com
