In another thread, a discussion started about the QF/BA Lounge at HKG:

I thought it merited a thread of its own (there is one for NZ, but not QF that I know of):

Best / Worst QF J Lounges

To get the ball rolling:

QF/BA at HKG: one of the worst

QF/BA/CX in TBIT at LAX: one of the better ones

Perhaps its the CX influence, but the food and beverage service is much better there. And the lounge is much larger and more comfortable (even if it gets as crazily busy at peak times because of the huge night-time load of QF big birds).

PVG: poor

An airport-operated lounge, extremely basic offers of food and beverages, uninspiring decor, 1 computer (was a while ago, doubt it's improved?!).

QF/BA in SIN: quite good

The Qantas lounges here have often been a welcome oasis from a humid and hot airport. The current version is nicely decorated and quite sizeable (although at peak times busy of course). Food and beverage average.

My vote goes to PER as one of the WORST QF J lounges, at least out of the ones i've been to.

I agree that HKG QF/BA J lounge is very average as well, but AFAIK unless your only access is via qantas club membership, your welcome at the CX lounge so generally its not much of an issue (never sure why QF don't just buy their way into the wing/pier?)

I was at CSI airport in Bombay last week. Though not exclusively a Qantas Lounge, the One World lounge there used to be pathetic. However the renovations to the terminal (at least airside!) are nearly complete and CSI is actually looking goooood. The new One World lounge is also complete and open for business. No free wifi yet but small steps, small steps. I daresay that Mumbai is almost ready (for the adventurous) to be used as a hub instead of SIN/DXB/HKG/KUL etc. Who would have thought. Slightly offtopic but (at least) 5 airlines have direct BOM-LHR flights now. Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Jet Airways, Kingfisher and Air India. SYD-BOM-LHR fares may yet be a competitive option.
