Shock horror I'm in Y over to the US early next year with MrsChooms and MasterChooms coming along for the ride.

Looking at best seating options. Currently in 80A, 80B and 80C, but I am having recurring nightmares of being stuck behind an A380's worth of people at LAX CBP on arrival.

I get the pick of the plane at the moment as a P1, so seeking out any other suggestions taking into account the long flight and comfort, not wanting to get stuck behind an endless queue and travelling with a child which rules out exit row seating.

Thanks in advance.

Three seats closer to the front? At last you won't have to worry about sharing a section with a stranger.
We're also relegated to Y next year to the US but have taken the centre 4 as there are four of us.

48A,B,C is the way to go. Just did LHR-SIN in 48C recently and the proximity to F galley and CSM is a clear advantage for a P1. Also off the aircraft right after F pax through door 1A.

Can't seem to select with a child. It is an exit row?

Sorry for reviving this, but do think we should perhaps have a thread for Y seats in A380 given there's loads of choice and it's usually on a busy frequently taken routes.

So what would be realistically best solo/duo Y seat for status holders. I would suspect if its OQL (unrefurbished) then the upper deck would be a reasonable option.

Otherwise is row 48? 66? 79? 80A/K?

I like the idea of reviving the thread and expanding it to cover all major types QF flies. A matrix with the best options onboard on 330, 380 and 787 for single, duo, privacy-seeking pax.
