Definitely the upper deck on the 380, even if its not the bulkhead. I'm a window person myself but on the lower deck on a 380 Y, the lean-against-the-wall-with-pillow-in-between sleeping position doesn't work as well due to the wide curvature of the cabin.
As for the 330, I haven't flown Y on that plane enough to comment on this thoroughly but I flew a redeye on 330 Y due to J being full recently. Initially, I had 31K confirmed before but with someone next to me. After checking in online and heading to the airport, I asked if there was a better seat with nobody next to it and the agent suggested 46K and said she'd try to keep 46H free. She also told me that I'll be able to recline all the way as there was no one on 47H & 47K as well. While I thought it was a gamble, I thought I'd risk it considering I prefer to not sit next to people.
Happily waited at the SKL and went to board literally as they were about to close the gate, only to walk on and find the plane completely full. Went to my seat and was glad that there was noone indeed sitting on 46H or 47H/47K which was pretty good on the agent to keep her promise on a full flight but shortly after take off, people started to realise that 47H/47K was up for grabs and it had people 'rotate' into the seat (i.e. one guy comes and loiters for few hours before meal service and goes back to their seat, then another guy comes and repeats). Due to the excessive traffic, I had such a horrible flight that day and hardly got any sleep.
So the lesson for me is, even on the 330, I would go for a bulkhead if possible.
