Between hotel checkout 12pm and airport checkin 1215am...

Staying at SIN IC on points but recently discovered that you don't get Ambassador benefits on a points stay. I was after the 4pm checkout. (So much learning this year!)
Debating paying for the last night but then I'm thinking "do I really value the benefits at that price?" and I think the answer is no.
Don't want to head out to the airport early despite Changi being an awesome airport.
12hrs is a long time to spend in town....only hanging out in Singapore so the +1 can check it out for a few days then he can say he's done it. I like SIN but it's not really my ideal place to spend time.

Debating finding a cheap hotel to check into hopefully along the public transport line somewhere, although there is a pool out at Changi as part of one of the hotels...

I had this recently where we checked out but the train didn't leave until close to midnight and it was a long stretch. Cost of trying to be budget I suppose!
I've done the reverse and tacked on another night at the hotel and actually it was a much nicer experience leaving the hotel to go to the airport at the time you NEEDED to go to the airport - but that one wasn't as costly!

What do you go for? Wait it out or pay for another night? Might depend on where you are I suppose.

for SIN I'd probably just have lunch in town, see if there's any last minute shopping then head to the airport on the MRT to save money you'd probably be there around 3 or 4 then.

once there check-in and then head to the lounge or watch a movie in the terminal or walk around a bit more. you could also get a room at the transit hotel for 5 hours at a decent price to freshen up and nap if required.

Personally I'd still try for late checkout on the day. You just never know it could be your lucky day.

Flying Scoot so check-in opens 3hrs prior ~ 2115. Unless there is a way around this like check-in online, store bags at airport, then return land side for check-in?

I think there's around 11-12 priority pass lounges so could do but I think even that many is outside my nosey boundaries . The partner would shoot me if I took him to any more than 2 I'm sure. Also limited by Scoot's check-in of only 3hrs prior to departure so really am more limited to the city from 12-9pm.
