So I have got new Woolworths Qantas Platinum that was offering 20,000 QF bonus points. Received first statement today, and as many witnessed before, got only 16,000 points. Immediately called them and got two different explanations why - 1) not registering through Qantas link, but directly with Woolworths, 2) not being invited for the special. Both clear BS. They asked me to prove that I was offered 20,000 - I am providing screen shots. Told them if I don't get remaining points in 5 business days, I will be cancelling the card and asking for a full refund of the fee. And of course, also immediately used the 16,000 points... :p Let's see what will they do...
 
To give them credit, they called exactly as promised, apologised and said that remaining 4,000 points will be credited with the next statement...
 
Good to hear. They like to maximise their own wallet size but always good to be ruthless with a faceless business like this.
