Hey all.

Very new to this. Am a newish QFF member looking to get serious about racking up major points. Any help or tips is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance..

Welcome aboard BigMonsterCat, so what credit card points do you earn and what are your flying goals?

Have the anz qantas frequent flyer.
Also have Woolies Everyday Reward Card linked to QFF.

In a year or two we are going to go to USA. As many points as possible by then would be awesome.

From one cat to another cat, a Big Warm welcome to BigMonsterCat.

yep welcome BigMonsterCat to the best place for FF'ers.

If you have ANZ Plat. should get QFF 1.5 points per $1 spent.

Can pay tax these days inc. gst with CC, you do pay a small fee but can rack up big points.
Can usually pay rates, body corp fees you name it.

Hi there, I agree that putting everything through a FF credit card is definitely the way to accrue points quickly. Good luck!

It's not hard to get 100,000+ points per year with CC sign up bonuses.

So, just got our cards all set up today. Promptly went and bought groceries on them. How long till those points show up online? A few days I guess. Just need to clarify the bonus points for signing up. It said 40000 on the anz website when we applied, but I can't see anything about it now. I'll sort it out.

The race to 200000 points begins now.

I signed up to the ANZ Platinum CC card about a year ago..... from memory the bonus QFF sign-up points come through by the third month if memory serves me correctly.

Awesome.

Another question I have is this:

How long between earning the QFF points and when they show on the QFF app? So far I've waited about 10 days and still no change... haven't checked the actual website, but I assume it would be the same?

Thanks again. Keen to see some points build up..

"It depends" how they are earned. If from a QF flight, then only a couple of days. If from a CC, then you may have to wait until after the end of the statement period.

...and if from a QFF promo e.g. a Christmas Gift Voucher 10x promotion, maybe...sometime???

I just rang anz and they said joining bonus points transfer after my next statement. Which will be my first. So, hopefully I see those at the right time. I'm just going through the process to set up bill payments on my amex now....

Points, come at me!

Welcome. (I'm new here too)

You're pretty well set up for QFF points with those cards, the only thing you might want to consider adding is an Amex that earns >1.5 pts/$ on supermarket & petrol spending if you spend a bit on both.

An Amex platinum edge co-branded with a professional association that let's you earn QFF points will get you 3 pt/$ on supermarket and 2 pt/$ on petrol, or a David Jones Amex will get you 2.25 pts/$ on both.

The DJs sign up bonus is slightly better at 22.5k as well.

Happy hunting.
