Hi Guys, my father needs to get home to Jersey (Channel Islands), he is 67 and I'd like to upgrade him to business class for atleast the long legs.

I've only ever done a few upgrade SYD-AUH when I was VA Plat (not flown for the past few years due to work changes, so not just a Silver on VFF and QFF). He has never flown business and has a few knee problems.

Would really appreciate anyone's advice here as I can't seem to find many options.

Not much turning up on Expert Flyer, unless I am doing something wrong.

Travel details:

Leaving from either BNE/SYD/MEL/PER (in that order) and arriving into Jersey, so either into LGW/LHR/BHX.
Depart after 19 of this month and return arpprox 8 weeks later.
his budget is $5,000 pounds return.

I've got:
- 600,000 VFF points
- 60,000 QFF
- 160,000 AMEX points
- 9,000 Krsflyer

I was thinking I could setup a ff account with whoever he flies with and transfer my amex points to him.

Etihad SYD - LHR J 19th June. Book by calling VFF directly. Can't remember the VFF points (140K?) but the taxes are quite high ($500+). Possibly the best biz experience in the business.
