Anyone have any tips or tricks to get the most status points going from BNE to PER return. I looked at going via syd/melb/ade getting only 35 with discount eccon. The best way i found was direct with economy giving me 40 points each way.

First question is the price difference between the discount economy and the economy. I would guess it the is big. AlsoEconomy via one of those cities should get you 70 SC. In general, if you want more SC and the price is roughly the same or slightly higher then you should fly via another city. Or if you want even more then fly in business via another city. When doing this you need to be careful of the zones as you don't always get the same result. For example I'm surprised that BNE-SYD-PER is 35, I would have guessed 30.

Depends of course how much (more) you're willing to pay.

How does BNE-TSV-CNS-DRW-PER count out?

If you have the points, then a JASA ticket via Melbourne will earn you 280SC for an outlay of 72,000 points and around $750 for Business class both ways

Why not go the whole hog, and do it as an AONE6, route via the US and Europe, possible Africa and Asia, and include some long F legs. Sure to max out the SC, but may not be cheapest, and definitely the most indirect :p
