My main one is that -- even if you ultimately intend to move them to Velocity -- it pays to keep your FB points in FBs and let the balance build there so that you get targeted with bonus transfer offers like these.

There was a recent general offer of 5% on first transfer during a specific window, and 15% for first (ever) auto-transfer, so 10% (which is what you are being offered here if you transfer exactly 100k FB) seems reasonable.

Whether it makes sense to transfer your FBs to Velocity at all will depend on what you intend to use them for -- that 100k FBs is worth $500 at the checkout so you want to be getting significantly more value than that when redeemed through Velocity. Easily done on international J awards, but for things like points plus pay or toasters and gift cards and whatever other rubbish you can get in the Velocity store you're probably better off taking the money at Coles and paying for the flight/gift card/toaster with cash.

Whilst I actively earn velocity points via credit card, flying, Virgin Wines, estore etc.

I do not transfer Flybuys points to Velocity. I convert to Flybuys dollars.

Being all in on one loyalty program is a tad too much and sometimes it's nice to have the physical cash reward on day to day spend.
For me it's like savings, short term (Fly-buys dollars), medium term (Velocity reward - domestic) and long term rewards (Velocity reward - internaltional)

Though I totally get why it's offered and people take it up :)
