This query relates to the Westpac Krisflyer card.
The Westpac Krisflyer conditions (para 15.2 (b)) says that bonus miles will be accrued for purchases in Australian Dollars on singapore.com.au. Problem is there is no such domain; entering that domain resolves to singapore.com.
The other issue that I have is that I type in singapore.com.au and then buy an award tix from ZRH- BNE and one from BNE-ZRH (to retain flexibility and sometimes triangle routes ie BNE-ZRH ZRH-MNL MNL-BNE) Using the same website will result in transactions being charged to my card in AUD, CHF & PHP. Only the AUD results in bonus miles.
I've had a few refunds come through on the card as well. Sometimes these will come through from totally unrelated countries ie I've never bought tickets from Portugal but I get refunds from there.
The conditions are pretty clear on the AUD requirement but I would like to hear any thoughts on how we can have westpac broaden the difinition for bonus miles.
This is more to do with Westpac than with SQ which is why I will post it here for the thoughts of others.
