My wife got an email stating that between Dec - Mar they're offering an extra bonus point on any transactions put through her Edge card. I've checked her statements and it looks like they're actually giving two bonus points per dollar (i.e. 5 at grocery stores). Anyone else know of this or if there's a way to trigger it on other cards??? From memory there is a cap on it (I'll have to get her to send me the email) but until we cap out, it looks like she's paying for everything!

Now if only they'd offer me one of these :-)

I'm guessing your experience is related to this thread: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....xpress-rewards/amex-birthday-bonus-79379.html

No, this was specifically points although both she and I received the birthday bonus as well. Funnily enough I got the credits before the email even arrived, so when I was looking I wasn't sure what was going on. The text didn't make it clear either...it seemed like it was from some generic merchant until the email came through a day or so later.

In checking her most recent statement it would appear like perhaps the sup card is also pulling bonus points, although I rang through a half dozen cards at HN so I sort of lost track. I will test and report back, but fingers crossed, that'd be a great way to start the new year!

Cheers
