Hi guys,

I know there's already a thread running on the QF Y+ specials, but figured this deserved its own thread.

Just received a note from QF letting us know that:

Qantas Frequent Flyers can now earn an extra 5,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points on selected return Premium Economy flights (or 2,500 points one way). Conditions apply.

Here's the conditions:

#You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions. A joining fee may apply. This extra points offer is only available to members travelling on selected Premium Economy flights. To be eligible for this offer, you must book and pay for your eligible Premium Economy flight by midnight 2 September 2009. This extra points offer is valid for travel 1 August to 30 November 2009. Extra points will be allocated to member accounts in within 6 weeks of completed journey.

Unfortunately it doesn't spell out which routings even in their conditions, but it's not a bad bonus, especially for those of us with status who are likely to be snoozing away in a J seat for less than a standard Y+ fare.

Hope some of you can take advantage of it.

I believe eligible in this context has the meaning in the QFF terms and conditions of being eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points/Status credits.

The "Selected" flights are return travel ex MEL/SYD/BNE.

These are:
  • MEL/SYD/BNE to HKG/BKK/LAX/SFO/EZE/JNB/LHR and
  • MEL to SIN.
