hello

just wanted to share this info. i recently took a flight from melbourne to perth return and was lucky enough to sit in the exit row seat for the flight to perth at no cost to me. The trip back was no problem and the booking was a general red e deal as i was attending a wedding and had booked it months ago.

the funny thing was when i checked my points i was given double status credits for the flight which i sat in the exit row on the way to perth. does anyone know of this? and or are exit row seats classed differently?

thanks
Brenden

ceavoi,

I would not say too much too loudly and would feel blessed at your good fortune.:D :D

I can confirm having sat in the exit row HEAPS of times (look for fire, smoke or obstruction, etc etc - I can just about give the briefing now).

I've never had double SCs.

+1 to keep quiet and enjoy the good fortune.

Perhaps the OP was on a double status credit offer.

There have been various offers around, extra 50SC's on next flight etc.

That'd be my guess. Either way - well done ceavoi. :)

There was a double points promo for new QFF's. Maybe it's related to that if you're new?

Note there is no extra charge for exit row seats for domestic or trans-Tasman flights, so there should not be any extra cost to you.

You did not earn double SCs for the fact that you were sat in an exit row seats. It is more likely you have been targeted for a "fast track" satus promotion which resulted in the double SCs for the flight.

Thanks NM.

i'm not a new FF as i've had my membership for ever right in the days of Ansett if someone of us can remember that far back.

I guess i drew a lucky straw on the SC no complaints at my end
