VA have deal on to US Y is it possible to buy 4 x Y seats for 2 Pax @ $4800 in toto, so we not only have plenty of room but get FF points for them all?.

That is possible on domestic flight it should also be on international.

I recommend buying 3 seats if flying Y because it's 3-3-3.. Also contact the GCC on 13 6789 and enquire, I know with NZ you can buy a "sky lounge"...

Yes, I assume you'd want three (all together) than 1+3.

But just call VA and ask for an extra seat for the booking.

...and it should end up being less than 3x the Y fare, because you won't need to pay most of the taxes and charges on the second seat.
