Hi everyone
I remember booking Singapore/Bangkok/HK flights using my velocity membership via various other partner airlines in 2019.
I can't seem to do that now via the Virgin Australia website. Does anyone know how to do that, I wish to acquire status credits/use the benefits too.

Thank you

You are correct that currently you can’t book through the VA website but you can book through the other airlines and add your velocity number to earn points, status credits etc

SQ has only released Y awards to VA. They haven't released W/J/F award seats to any partner airline yet.

BKK - HKG might be a problem, if HKG airlines does not fly to BKK, without you having to back track to SIN, and up again, ((haven't checked)).
HK airlines are still a partner with VFF I believe, unless they haven't updated their (VFF's) website.
Need to have a look and see, as you might have to do 2 different bookings, ie, one from Au - SIN, then SIN - BKK, and then a separate one with HK airlines from BKK - HKG.
Have a look anyways, as the others have said, VA won't book any international flights, for partner airlines at the moment.
And the places they fly to (VA) internationally, as the moment, is not that many.

HK Airlines is currently grounded for the most part (just like their rival Cathay) due to HK/PRC's Covid-Zero policy.

In addition, HK is largely a short haul international airline now. They've exited long haul before Covid.

Yep, just tried to do some dummy bookings, even into 2023.
No flights available, ...
Looks like OP has to back track to SIN.
Edit: all the 3 VFF partners, Capital/Hainan/Tianjin are not flying to BKK for the 2022 year, by the looks of it, so its backtracking to SIN, to get to HKG.
Maybe things will change later this year, maybe not.
Unless of course, VA and Thai Airways join up, but who knows tho,
If you live in Aust, and have been using FB, there is FB travel, for/from which you can book TG seats, about 20000 THB for business, from BKK - HKG and back, A350.
No direct VFF earn, but indirectly, every spent with FB travel, does earn VFF points, via FB points earnt with FB travel, then do a transfer from FB to VFF.
Sorry for the waffle.
