Hi, I've booked and paid for a business class ticket from SYD to JFK in early June QF107/108, B747. I have beenassigned seat 2A both ways, which from the online maps seems to be first class. All seats first and both J class decks are available for selection. Did I get an automatic upgrade or is this sold as only a J and Y flight. I'd like to stay with 2A but if this is an error and going to be changed and rather pick an upper deck seat now than get stuck row E on the lower deck. Thanks

I think you may have the 747 with only cattle, premium and business

Something similar has happened to me - booked PE but had J seat selection straight up.....took it & was a very happy camper flying over to LAX.

Can you purchase F on this flight? If so I'd say you're one lucky flyer!

Welcome to AFF.

QF107 no longer sells first class, it's sod for Business, Premium Econ. & Economy.

You are either in a 4 class configured 744 sold as three classes or a newly reconfigured three class.

Does row 4 show up on the seat map, and if it does, is there a 2B seat?

Another three class bird came online the other day, so the chances of getting a 4 class are getting smaller.

Looking at the seat map without doubt a four class aircraft. Also tried pricing for first but that comes up as unavailable. Hope it's first, never tried that on Qantas. There is note on my selection however that there is a change of aircraft in LAX and the seat selection is only for the first portion. Need to call customer service to get seats assigned for LAX-JFK. Return flight end of June also shows the same cabin.

Bad news, but based on that seat map, you'll be in F seating but J service - the entire cabin is selectable for J. If you had just the first four rows, then you would have been upgraded to F.

You are most definitely in Business - but with a First Class seat.

First Class is no longer sold for QF107.

As posted, Business service with better lay flat seat.
