I'm planning a reward trip LHR - EWR then from BNA - LHR.

I can happily book a First class reward on the outgoing leg, but with GBP500+ pp taxes. I could book from Dublin instead to drop the taxes to EUR130pp but when I search for flights I can get business to LHR, but then there's no First class from LHR. Is this something I need to call 131313 to book as the website is buggy?

Have to call, as its too complicated to do, online on the QFF website, esp as it a flight/flights with partners, and not QF flight itself.
How high are you up the QFF status ladder, and do you have time to sit by the phone, and wait if you are lower down the QFF status tree.
I find a handfree set a very good idea, as you can then do things on the laptop without having to have your neck holding the phone.
All the better if you are WP and can hold of the HBA QF team.
If you are lower grade, be prepared to keep getting a "no, its not possible" reply, and then have to keep HUACA.
Best of luck anyway.

To be clear, you're using the multi-city tool, and that fails to display First class options from London to EWR if you add a Dublin - London leg before? And you can see first class fine if you remove the Dublin - London leg?

No not doing multi city. Just one way flights

Have you tried booking using the multi city tool? It should let you book Dublin to London in whatever class you want plus London to Newark in First on the same ticket. If the transit time is <24h I believe the taxes should price with the correct lower amount.

It errors out saying there are no flights found (buggy)

I just tried an awards booking for a multi city DUB - LHR & then LHR - EWR on the 17 Feb 2023 and it showed J with BA from DUB - LHR (BA831) and then F with AA LHR - EWR (AA105). Taxes EUR176.

Also just tried DUB - EWR direct on the 17 Feb 2023 and results only showed business with no first. However if you click on the 17th and hit continue it brings up options DUB - LHR in J with BA and then LHR - JFK with AA (not EWR) in F. I believe because one leg is in J it doesn't show the F option for the other leg. Don't always believe what the results show and always click on the date as it often shows different options.
