It's been almost 4 years since 2 x Jnr's & myself have holidayed together. Well now their both young adults (22 & 20) and have decided to come to Singapore next Easter on, what will be for me at least, a cherished family trip. We will be travelling over on QF whY thanks to .br, and after much research, I have decided to checkout the Conrad, utiliizing my Diamond status. Jnr#1 & I have enjoyed several EL's in US, EU, UK & BKK and reckon it's great value.

Not being able to use a "Spouse stays free" pushes the rate up a lot for 3 people, and so booking the Twin Business room to hopefully get upgraded to Exec. isn't going work financially. What I was thinking of doing however, was booking the Twin Classic with P&P for 3 nights (72k pts & $448 odd) and then booking the other 3 nights in Twin Business with hope to upgrade to EL. Both Jnr's are Gold, but not sure when their expiry dates are (could be March 14 unfortunately).

If we are all in the Twin Classic room, do any of us get EL access or do we have to be on Exec. floor?

Any advice appreciated.

I really can't comment about Conrad SIN, but I thought "spouse stays free" pretty much works for anyone (after all, who are they to determine who your spouse may or may not be). Booking for 2 adults with the comment "HH benefit - Spouse stays free - Occupancy 3A - rollaway required" has always worked for me (sometimes the rollaway is not charged as well).

Enjoy!

Thanks for the response. The problem with the "spouse stays free" is that we may end up with 1 x king/queen & rollaway, instead of 3 beds.

Well, I booked the first 3 days with the points & pay. When the confirmation email came through, it had the e-upgrade option from the base twin room up to the twin exec. room at $0 (which I believe is a double upgrade - skipping the business room) and also a paid upgrade of S$140 to the Exec. Premier room. I ticked both and hoping for the paid Exec. Premier room which appears a lot bigger and converts to ~ AUD 250pn plus points.

Now the problem is which room do I book for the next 3 nights? If I'm already ensconced in the Exec. Premier, what chance is there that they don't make me move if I only re-book the twin classic room for the other 3 nights? Probably more of a chance of staying in the Exec. Premier if I book the Twin Business, I think.
