Apologies if this is covered somewhere else.

I've just booked a flight Zurich - London via m.ba.com and the whole experience was simple and easy. From selecting a flight to choosing a seat to then being offered an upgrade for £100 (which I took) it was all booked and sorted in about 8 mins.
During the Qantas grounding, I managed to book us flights home on Virgin using their mobile site. It was less smooth than BA (though I suspect due to high traffic) but still easier than trying to use the main site on a small screen.
So why does Qantas make you utilize the full site on a tiny iPhone screen to book? Both the QF mobile site and app are lacking the basic functionality of booking a flight.
Anyone else find this annoying and is there a known reason?
