BOQ Specialist Signature Card enhanced

I am saddened to hear my best V/M credit card will be enhanced. BOQ Specialist Signature provided 10,000 QFF pts per month at 1pt/$ then 0.5pt/$ for unlimited pts earn. It has been enhanced to 1 QFF/pt up to $7,500 spend and 0.5pt/$ up to $30,000/month. International spend has reduced from 1.5pts/$ to 1pt/$ uncapped. Oh well, it was great while it lasted.

If it's anything like the rest of BOQ's IT, the website will be updated sometime in the next decade or so.

Email to say changes coming to Platinum:

• Capped points earning per statement period to a limit of $5k spend
• International purchases now earn 0.5pts per $1 spent
• Removal of Travel Insurance cover and Vehicle Excess cover

No updates, including updated PDF documents, have been reflected on the BOQ website (misleading for new customers applying for a card with the understanding that the existing benefits will apply going forward)
Another example of profit maximisation at the cost of customers. Fortunately I have this card for free as part of a wider package - given changes to insurance I will for sure open a card somewhere else. Could do with some bonus points too.
