Hi All,

Just wanted some feedback from you guys.

I have a four hour layover in Brisbane Int airport next week and I was wondering if someone can provide some pointers as to what I can do there. I am travelling on economy class therefore QF lounge is out of question.

Thanks heaps

Is it a INT-INT layover or DOM-INT transfer, if its the later you can grab a free bus to the DFO for a spot of shopping otherwise there is not too many options apart from watching planes/people.

Without an exact date, I’m not sure this’ll help, but AFF member Will will be using the Int QP on the 21st (next week) between 10 and 12. It looks like he has 1 guest slot available, if that’s the day and time you’ll be there, you could send him a PM.

Brisbane International (after security) has undergone a decent revamp in the past year or so. Many more stores and food shops than there used to be. There's at least two places for coffee, a pizza place, assorted other hot food, decent sized newsagent/gift/book store, largeish duty free, and other specialty stores. Plenty to wander around and look it, if you like browsing stores, otherwise there's a decent range at the newsagent if you want to grab some magazines or books.
I'm sure the BAC website would list the retailers that are behind security.

The ad on this page when I returned did offer a free dental checkup at the Brisbane Airport Dental Clinic, I suppose that is an option.......

Nice to know that targeted advertising can be useful, a dental check-up sounds like the perfect idea to blow an hour or so inside a terminal... plus the sound of the drill will prepare you for the vocal leanings of some FA's

It's so that people who claim they'd rather have teeth pulled than get on a plane have that option at BNE... :D

Indeed. Clarification of the connecting flights will assist. If it's INT-INT, then things become more tricky with getting out of the airport - but still achievable in some cases.

DFO is a good idea if possible - see Brisbane Airport - What To Do While In Transit
