Brisbane Drinks night Wednesday 15 August

Thought it about time to organize another Brisbane drinks night.

Date: Wednesday 15 August 2012.

Location: The Metro Tower Mill hotel, Spring Hill (239 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane QLD 4000, Australia - Corner Bartley Street).

Time: Unlike past drinks nights, as it will be the Brisbane Show Holiday, perhaps things could get underway a little earlier, such as a late afternoon start, followed by an earlier end to the night. Basically, get as much sunlight and warmer weather as possible.

What do people think?

True… could meet you for a drink with Bundy Bear on Thursday on the GC if you like… that is if Bundy Bear is still coming down that Thursday! Though you’ll meet more on Wednesday, potentially

I was going to start a thread about drinks for August but I procrastinated too much.

So yes you will see me there, I think 4pm is a good start time, I need to go to Sydney and back on a Virgin mileage run, so the start can't be too early.

Just a tip. Keep in mind a lot of places close up early on Ekka Wednesday night, if they open at all. It'd be wise to check if they are going to be open - combination of 2.5x pay + work day the next day is a bit of a disincentive for most venues.

I'd love to come but I unfortunately will be working in Rocky.

Work day for me and starting at 4pm I won't be there until at least 6.30 7pm.

I don't have any meetings in BNE that day due to public holiday.

There is the odd holiday that forces them to close, welcome to QLD where a public holiday is not a public holiday, confusing at times!
