I'm disappearing from Australia for a while so planning a few quiet drinks with aff members this Wednesday night.

Location: chalk hotel woolloongabba.
Time : 7pm onwards.

There is local parking and excellent bus access to/from town.

Who is interested?

Could I park my car there in the AM?

I have the train ride from Roma St at 8, so if I could leave my car somewhere for free I could then stop by on the way home to say farewell, and pick up my car ;)



http://chalkhotel.com.au/ is their website.

Re parking in the morning... I doubt it. With the hospitals around etc and being close to town I suspect free parking all day would be frowned on.

I'm in.

What section of The Chalk will we be sitting / having a meal?

Although I will not be driving, as I'm trying to keep mostly a level head and given my alcohol tolerance has taken a hit, I'll be remaining relatively sober. So please excuse me if I'm not putting away the pints, even if I'm "carrying a keg", so to speak. :)

From memory only 2 bars are open on a wed inside. Upstairs towards the back will likely be the spot. Possibly will change based on what's happening.

Unfortunately I am in the wrong part of the world, but I hope you have a good night.

All the best with your new 'adventure' :)

Due to a few errands I need to take care of today, I'll be arriving by car. So probably nil alcohol for me.

Now to work out a parking or park-and-ride plan...

There is a chalk Carpark two doors down accessed via service road. Otherwise there is street parking available. But some areas aren't free until 7.

I'll be there, albeit a little late. I'll be driving home before making my way there so I can fully partake.

The OH was going to come but he was feeling sick last night so might not come after all.

Has been a good night. Still ongoing ;)

I heard ribs and steaks were good!
